AERA seeks an experienced senior membership professional to serve as Director of Membership, Outreach, and Engagement. The Director will lead AERA’s efforts to provide excellent service and meaningful engagement for members. The Director is responsible for building and executing the Association’s overall membership strategy. This includes developing and implementing strategies to retain existing members and drive membership growth and evaluating and recommending programs and services to meet member needs.
Responsibilities for this position also include development work and marketing activities and leading efforts to enhance and articulate AERA’s value to members, donors, and other constituents.
The Director of Membership, Outreach, and Engagement works collaboratively across areas of the association to develop and lead membership engagement, retention, and growth strategies. The Director is also responsible for overseeing research and analysis related to AERA’s membership and uses data to inform membership strategies and decision-making that will enhance member retention, support engagement, and drive membership growth. This director position reports to the Associate Executive Director.

Chief Executive Officer, CASEL
The Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) seeks a strategic, creative, and energetic leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Founded three decades ago, CASEL has been the leader of the social and emotional learning (SEL) movement since first introducing the term into the education lexicon.
The next CEO will cement CASEL’s role as the expert voice in vetting high-quality SEL programs, practices, and research, and advocating more broadly for SEL as a fundamental tenet of education. As the education landscape shifts, the CEO will seek new growth opportunities for the organization, implement and further evolve a newly defined strategic vision, and cultivate a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and supportive work culture.

Editorial Assistant - Learning Policy Institute (LPI)
LPI seeks a full-time Editorial Assistant to join its team of research, policy, communication, and operations staff in advancing the organization’s mission to make education equitable for all children. This position may be based out of California, Washington, DC, or remote.
While reporting directly to the Publications Manager and working closely with other members of the Communications Team and research teams, the Editorial Assistant‘s primary responsibility is to support the editing and production needs of the organization.

Director of Tax, Immigration and Innovation, University of California
The University of California’s Office of Federal Governmental Relations is seeking a Director of Tax, Immigration and Innovation to join its Washington, D.C.-based team.
The Director will serve as one of UC’s primary federal lobbyists and provide subject matter expertise, analysis and political strategy on issues related to tax, immigration, labor, economic development, intellectual property, technology transfer and commercialization, capital assets and infrastructure and contractor management. The Director will engage with Congress, the administration and federal agencies, as well as with national associations and other higher education institutions, to advance UC’s priorities. This individual will work closely with UC leadership, faculty, staff and students across the UC system to coordinate and communicate UC’s positions on key policy issues.
Qualified candidates should have at least 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in government relations, public policy or advocacy, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The position is based at the UC Washington Center (UCDC) in Washington, D.C. and is a hybrid work schedule with the requirement of three days per week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
The University of California, Office of the President, is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role: $185,000 – $204,700, commensurate with experience.

Media and Advocacy Coordinator, ACTE
The Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) seeks an individual to manage our policy-related communications and media activities, as well as to inform and engage members in grassroots advocacy. Key responsibilities include managing ACTE’s direct media activities, including making strong contacts with reporters representing education, workforce and business media, and communications professionals from advocacy/policy organizations; developing social media content to support our policy and advocacy goals; overseeing website and blog content related to policy and research; sharing information on federal policy activities with members; producing written materials, providing technical support and giving presentations to assist members in connecting with policymakers to promote the organization’s policy agenda and CTE more broadly; and coordinating events, briefings or other activities to support the association’s policy and public affairs goals.
