How You Can Help

Your Advocacy Toolkit

Call or email your Members of Congress and ask them to vote for funding bills that increase the federal investment in education. Ask to meet with them when they are in your home town. Here is a sample letter.

You can call the Congressional switchboard at 202-224-3121 or locate your Members of Congress at the links below:

Use our #HearOurEdStories toolkit to let your Members of Congress know why education funding matters to you

Use our advocacy fact sheets — 5¢ Makes Sense, Myth v Fact, Federal Investment in Education — when you write a letter to the editor of your local paper or blog about the need to increase the federal education investment.

Use our funding charts — we have shareable charts (scroll down to FY 2022 and COVID-relief education funding charts.)

Follow CEF (@edfunding) on both Twitter and Instagram and “Cmte4edfunding” on Facebook— see what our many member organizations are doing and keep current with education funding issues.
